How does ICM work?
With the example on the previous page it was quite simple to evaluate expected value. But it is not so simple, if there are more players and different chipcounts. Actually with the use of ICM as an algorithm we can figure out the expected value of the players at any time and case.It is impossible to do the sum in one's head, this is the one and only disadvantage of the method, and there are no calculating methods to get an approximate value. Analysing a huge amount of tournament situations instincts evolve and intuition guides us to the rough working, so an experienced player can tell a relatively exact estimate about the expected value besides the table.
